Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA is seeking an Applied Scientist in AI/ML/NLP to invent scalable context-aware conversational solutions for Alexa Connected Devices. You will contribute to state-of-the-art LLM technologies, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation, driving real customer impact.

The role requires hands-on experience with Generative AI, large-scale data, and high-performance computing, with opportunities to ship and iterate rapidly based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS/ML/CE related experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and professional software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques.
• Analyze and improve user experiences using heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources.
• Work on core LLM technologies, including Prompt Engineering, Supervised Fine-Tuning, and Evaluation.
