Job summary

William & Mary invites applications for a 3-year, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Applied Science starting August 10, 2027, a full-time instructional appointment with possible renewals and a path for promotion.

The successful candidate will teach engineering design, additive manufacturing, automation, and related areas, supervise student projects, and support the Makerspace staff.

A Master’s degree is required; PhD/ABD preferred; prior teaching experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• Ph.D. or ABD is preferred at appointment begins (August 10, 2027).
• Previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Classroom instruction and full teaching load.
• Supervise student projects and assist with the Makerspace and staff support.
