Job summary

Part-time faculty provide applied, industry-informed perspectives to complement full-time faculty and help bridge academic research with professional practice.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline (required).
• Professional and/or teaching experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills to engage students.
• Ability to bring applied, real-world perspective into instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, course materials, and examinations for assigned courses
• Design or support experiential learning components where applicable, such as project-based assignments, applied problem-solving, case studies, or industry-connected coursework
• Interact regularly with students, including responding to questions and providing guidance outside of scheduled class time
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, substantive feedback
• Coordinate with department faculty and staff to ensure course content aligns with program learning outcomes and curriculum requirements
