MITRE is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join the Operations Analysis department. You will apply advanced analytical and mathematical modeling techniques to inform policy and acquisition decisions, frame problems, collect data, and develop customized algorithms.

You will present results in an accessible form for diverse sponsor audiences and work both remotely and on-site. The role requires 2+ years of experience with relevant degrees, proficiency in at least one optimization package

Qualificações

• Requires minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Passion for applying operations research, statistics, and data analytics to real world problems.
• Demonstrated ability to use at least one optimization package (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, PuLP, AMPL) and at least one modern programming language (Python, R, Java).
• Ability to work in a remote environment and on-site four days a week.
• Must have an active Secret security clearance and be eligible for Top Secret clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Apply advanced analytical and mathematical modeling techniques to inform policy and acquisition decisions.
• Frame problems, collect and manipulate data, develop and code customized algorithms, identify risks, and incorporate context.
• Present results in an intuitive, actionable manner for sponsor audiences, including data visualization artifacts.
• Work independently and with a team of technical staff and domain experts.
• Collaborate across on-site and remote work environments.
