Fairygodboss is seeking an Associate Applied Researcher to join their Quantitative Trading & Research (QTR) Team. This position involves building and integrating advanced GenAI capabilities into systems for client engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong coding skills in Python, an advanced degree in a related field, and hands-on experience with LLMs. The role emphasizes applied research, production engineering, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Python and owning production code.
• Experience with agent frameworks and modern GenAI capabilities.
• Demonstrated ML/AI systems that improved user metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and productionize LLM agents.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging techniques into production.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable production systems.

Skills

Strong coding skills (Python preferred)

Hands-on experience building with LLMs

Strong understanding of modern GenAI capabilities

Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

Bias to action; comfortable working in ambiguity

Education
