F2 AI is looking for an Applied AI Engineer to bridge cutting-edge AI research with practical financial applications. The role focuses on transforming how the platform understands critical financial insights, implementing systems for data extraction, and enhancing AI performance. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience in AI engineering, a strong grasp of LLMs, and knowledge of financial markets. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning, AI research, or applied AI engineering.
• Strong background in LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic AI workflows.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks and benchmarks for AI systems.
• Interest or understanding of financial markets, investment processes, or quantitative finance.
• Experience with retrieval systems, embeddings, and multi-modal data processing.
• Publication record or expertise in relevant AI research is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to translate cutting-edge research into practical value.
• Experience as a full-stack engineer is a plus (React/Typescript + Python/Node or similar).

Responsibilities

• Implement and adapt cutting-edge AI research to build systems for financial contexts.
• Design retrieval pipelines to extract insights from unstructured sources.
• Build workflows enabling AI systems to reason about financial relationships.
• Construct and maintain knowledge graphs capturing financial relationships.
• Create evaluation frameworks to measure AI performance.
• Implement systems ensuring traceability from AI outputs to primary sources.
• Experiment with LLM orchestration patterns for financial use cases.
• Shape technical direction and best practices for AI application development.
• Iterate with customer input to refine AI systems based on real-world usage.
• Deploy and operate production systems end-to-end.
