Job summary

RBC is seeking a Data Scientist to solve problems and build ML applications within the US Wealth Management Applied AI team in Minneapolis. You will work on causal inference, time-series forecasting, predictive marketing, and model interpretation, collaborating with business partners to deliver actionable data-driven solutions.

You will develop, deploy and monitor statistical models, transform data, and communicate insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 2-3 years of experience in data solutions and applying data techniques.
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling.
• Experience with causal inference and experimentation, time-series forecasting, predictive marketing and advertising, and model interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key business partners to understand objectives and problem statements to deliver actionable solutions.
• Prepare, analyze, and transform data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Develop, implement, and deploy statistical and ML models at scale.
• Use visualization tools to convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Learn new methods and tools from research communities to implement and innovate.
• Communicate findings to technical and business audiences.
• Develop predictive data models and visualizations of large data sources.
• Assist senior data scientists through ML lifecycle stages.
• Perform offline model evaluation and validation.
• Build dashboards and convey insights to stakeholders.
• Monitor production models for drift and performance.
• Document experiments and support AI governance.
• Present findings to technical and business audiences.
