• Conduct product evaluations, stability testing, and sensory analysis to ensure optimal performance.

• Work cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to support product development initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the food and beverage sector.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to ingredient performance in different applications.

LOCATION: Vista, CA

JOB SUMMARY: The Applications Scientist will play a key role in supporting the development and optimization of Vibrant Ingredients natural solutions. This individual will work closely with R&D, sales, and customers to develop applications, conduct research, and provide technical expertise to enhance the functionality of our products across various food and beverage categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize formulations using Vibrant’s natural ingredients for various food and beverage applications.
• Conduct product evaluations, stability testing, and sensory analysis to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, provide technical support, and develop customized solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to support product development initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the food and beverage sector.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to ingredient performance in different applications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in food and beverage applications, product development, or ingredient formulation.
• Strong understanding of food chemistry, ingredient interactions, and processing techniques.
• Experience with plant-based, clean-label, or natural ingredient solutions is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, analytical testing, and sensory evaluation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as weighing ingredients and operating laboratory equipment.
• Ability to work with various chemicals and materials in a safe and controlled manner
