Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant NDT inspection experience.
• Proficiency in UT inspection technologies: UT, PAUT, TOFD, FMC‑TFM.
• Experience performing automated UT inspections.
• Knowledge of other inspection technologies (ET, ECA, PEC, ACFM, MFL, RT).
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Americas and internationally.
• Diploma in science or related field (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering technical questions.
• Analyze customer needs to recommend standard products or collaborate on custom solutions with the tailored applications team.
• Perform technical feasibility tests to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and performance standards.
• Train customers on the use of products through hands‑on sessions and clear, tailored educational materials.
• Provide post‑sales technical support, including on‑site troubleshooting and communication with customers regarding issues encountered.
• Master and apply UT inspection technologies and applicable standards by region (ASME, ASNT, NAS 410, API, ISO, etc.).
• Create technical content in collaboration with the marketing team and participate in conferences to promote the company’s expertise.
• Support production by improving technical documentation and ensure effective product transfer to autonomous manufacturing.
• Work closely with R&D for product development and evolution by providing field feedback and conducting application tests.

JOB TITLE: Applications Expert

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Applications Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Applications Expert acts as a key reference for both internal teams and clients by providing in-depth knowledge of products and their applications. This role involves understanding clients' technological needs and collaborating with internal teams to propose effective solutions. This role is primarily focused on UT inspection technologies (UT, PAUT, TOFD, FMC-TFM, and others) and is intended for a candidate with hands‑on experience who has performed real inspections in industrial settings. The incumbent understands the realities of field operations, is proficient in UT signal interpretation and analysis, and has solid knowledge of the inspection market in the petrochemical, power generation, aerospace and or manufacturing sectors. The Expert will be part of the team responsible for the standard product line, lead initiatives to improve and promote these products, and provide support to customers and other departments in their activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering technical questions.

• Create technical content in collaboration with the marketing team (blogs, webinars, workshops, etc.) and participate in conferences to promote the company’s expertise.
• Support production by improving technical documentation and ensure effective product transfer to autonomous manufacturing.
• Work closely with R&D for product development and evolution by providing field feedback and conducting application tests.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in science or a related field such as inspection certifications (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (an asset)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

8+ years of relevant experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in NDT inspection: having performed real inspections in industrial settings is an asset for this role.
• Proficiency in UT inspection technologies: UT, PAUT, TOFD, FMC‑TFM, and related methods.
• Experience performing automated UT/ÄUT inspections is an asset for this role.
• Knowledge of other inspection technologies (ET, ECA, PEC, ACFM, MFL, RT) (an asset).
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to find win‑win solutions in a customer service context.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to train staff and write clear, concise technical reports.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines; self‑directed, thorough, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
• Available for frequent travel, primarily throughout the Americas, and internationally as project needs require
