Standard Bots is seeking a seasoned Applications Engineer to architect, install, and support robotic solutions for diverse customers on the factory floor. You will work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and customers to design and deploy practical automation.

You’ll travel to customer sites up to 50% and build technical materials to help customers maximize our platform. This role suits hands-on engineers with broad electrical, software, and mechanical skills.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience across electrical, software, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to write Python scripts.
• Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments.
• Ability to discuss cycle times, uptime, safety standards and integration with equipment.

Note: This role requires up to 50% domestic travel. That number goes down as we grow the team, but right now you're in the field -- a lot. If that's not for you, this probably isn't the right fit.

Also note: If you're looking for a role where you train models and push code, this isn't it. This is a mechanical + electrical + software trifecta that happens to use AI as a tool. The factory floor is your office.

About the Role

As a Applications Engineer you will work with otherengineers, organizational leaders, sales and customers to design, install and supportsolutions for our customers in new and exciting robotic applications.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with sales and customers to design robotic solutions for novel applications, serving as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales cycle

What you'll bring

• Technical Depth: You have hands-on experience across electrical, software, and mechanical systems — you're comfortable with DC power, understand NPN vs. PNP, can write Python scripts, and can navigate CAD tools like SolidWorks
• Industry Fluency: You have hands‑on experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments — you understand the constraints, workflows, and stakeholders that come with deploying technology on a factory floor
• Operational Context: You've worked alongside or within production or assembly environments and can speak credibly to customers about cycle times, uptime requirements, safety standards, and integration with existing equipment
• Growth Mindset: You're energized by new domains and challenges, and you pick up context quickly to maximize your impact
• Clear Communication: You communicate with precision and empathy — in writing, in person, and across technical and non-technical audiences

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
