Job summary

Teledyne Cable Solutions, part of Teledyne Marine Interconnect Solutions, seeks an engineering professional to bridge engineering, manufacturing, and customers. You will be the primary contact for export jurisdiction and classification (J/C) to ensure cable solutions are technically sound and regulatory compliant for global markets.

Qualifications

  • It demands the ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Detail orientation and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of export jurisdiction and classification (ITAR) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
  • 1–3 years of engineering or applications experience is preferred.
  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer specifications into standard and engineered-to-order cable and interconnect solutions.
  • Serve as the site lead for export jurisdiction and classification activities.
  • Support technical discussions with customers in pre- and post-sales phases.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to support business development.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing on new product introductions and assembly support.
  • Prepare technical documentation including drawings, application notes, and specifications.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer expectations, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Train internal teams on newly developed products and assemblies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Teledyne Cable Solutions – Part of Teledyne Marine Interconnect Solutions

In this role, you’ll act as the technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and customers—while serving as the primary point of contact for export jurisdiction and classification (J/C).
