Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) is seeking an Applications Engineer for Medium Voltage VFDs to support North America. You will collaborate with sales, consulting engineers, EPCs, and end users to craft technical solutions across the project lifecycle from specification review to training and post-sale support.

The role emphasizes power electronics, MV drives, and large-scale drive applications, with a path to market development and ongoing product feedback. Houston-based, hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–8 years of experience in applications engineering, electrical engineering, technical sales, product support, power systems, industrial automation, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for customers and Toshiba sales teams.
• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate MV VFD solutions.
• Review project specifications, electrical requirements, and data for compliance with standards.
• Assist in developing accurate technical and commercial proposals.
• Support projects throughout the sales cycle, from inquiry through commissioning and post-sale.
• Provide technical guidance on drive selection and system integration.
