Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Build-to-Print Cost Estimator to develop project cost and schedule estimates for automation equipment. You will identify the manufacturing process, build the cost model, create quotations, and provide supporting information to help sell Lincoln Electric Automation-designed equipment.

Responsibilities include evaluating project feasibility, developing quoting tools, advancing manufacturing concepts, and coordinating with Sales and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Basic CAD experience with 3D modeling a plus.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Three years or more of experience with customers and suppliers.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to Lincoln Electric values and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of Build-to-Print projects using data from Sales, Engineering and Customers.
• Develop tools and participate in the quoting process.
• Help develop manufacturing concepts to produce systems or products.
• Assist with customer communications, presentations, and trade events.
• Coordinate follow-up with sales, customers and reps, and adhere to ISO procedures.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts.

Position Summary

Develop project cost and schedule estimates for Build-to-Print based request for quotes. Identify the manufacturing process, accurately develop the cost model, create quotations and provide other supporting information as needed to sell Lincoln Electric Automation-designed equipment.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate the feasibility of Build-to-Print projects based on data supplied by Sales, Engineering, Management and Customers.
• Identify, develop and assist in the development of tools needed for the quoting process
• Help to develop manufacturing processes and concepts capable of producing systems or products
• Assist as necessary with customer communication, presentations, and trade related events.
• Follow-up as necessary with sales, customers, and representatives.
• Responsible for following Department ISO procedures
• Participate in activities to ensure continued process improvements.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma, Associate degree in technical discipline desired
• Basic CAD experience (3D modeling is a plus)
• Understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• 3 years’ minimum experience working with customers and suppliers
• Experience working in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Effective writing and communication skills.
