Job summary

Saint-Gobain Mobility is seeking an experienced engineer to design sealing components across polymer, metallic, and elastomer materials. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Technical teams to solve complex issues, translating customer needs into robust designs.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing environments, proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T. Travel may be limited; a fast-paced, proactive mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Chemical/Mechanical/Polymer Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred in Materials Science or Chemical/Mechanical/Polymer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in specialized industries/manufacturing and customer communication on technical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; proficiency in design and development of sealing components.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between Sales, Operations, and Technical teams to solve advanced sealing design issues.
• Apply engineering principles to design sealing components using polymer, metallic, and elastomer materials.
• Lead assigned activities and projects using project management tools.
• Collaborate under time constraints in a fast-paced environment and proactively improve processes.
