City of Vancouver in Vancouver, WA, is recruiting an Applications Engineer 2 to support major citywide SaaS systems, including financial/human capital management, utility billing, and parking. You will develop and maintain source code, create reports, and configure cloud and on-premises apps.

The role offers a hybrid schedule after onboarding and requires Washington/Oregon residency. Typical duties include backend development, documentation, testing, and collaboration with end users to define

Qualifications

Three years in a role supporting SaaS applications and enterprise systems.
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required.
Experience with SSRS/SSIS, ASP.NET, VB, XML and SQL tooling desirable.

Responsabilités

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and custom development for enterprise solutions including billing, assets management, permitting, work management, GIS, and other business applications for end users.
Collaborate with end users to define requirements, develop specifications, and create test plans; implement SaaS-based solutions.
Participate in architectural design sessions; develop automation/tools to improve scalability and deployment; document requirements and code.
Cross-train with other developers on supporting applications and interfaces; assist with SQL Server databases and environment.
