Job Overview

KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG) is seeking an experienced applications engineer focused on next‑generation semiconductor wafer inspection, metrology, and review products in the EBeam division.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: Characterize new wafer inspection and metrology products; design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, and publish results and recommendations.
• Use‑case Demos: Conduct tool demonstrations to showcase performance and develop use cases that help drive tool sales.
• Customer Support: Provide product value demonstrations during beta testing, evaluations and head‑to‑head sessions; investigate manufacturing yield issues; create and share product value statements; train customers and other applications engineers.

Qualifications

• High‑energy, self‑driven engineer with a passion for high‑tech environments and the ability to work autonomously.
• Preferred educational background in Engineering or Physics.
• Experience performing complex data/Image analysis with data‑analysis tools.
• Background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is strongly desired.
• Strong teamwork skills; balance technical expertise with people skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; accustomed to presenting results to internal and external customers.
• Domestic/international travel up to 50 % on short notice (trips may last 4‑8 weeks).

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $97,800.00 - $166,300.00 annually. Location: USA-CA-Milpitas.
