Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks an Internal Applications Developer to support critical business, HR, payroll, finance, and administrative systems from our Brooklyn office. You will design and develop custom applications, build enterprise integrations, and directly impact operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of application development experience in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with C# and the .NET platform (including .NET Core/.NET 8).
• Experience developing apps with ASP.NET Core, MVC, Razor Pages, or Web API.
• Strong SQL Server experience with T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with JSON; third-party integrations.
• Front-end basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript for internal apps.
• Understanding of data validation, data integrity, error handling, and secure design.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications and internal business tools.
• Build and support API integrations between payroll, finance, HRIS, and other enterprise systems.
• Create automated data validation and synchronization processes for data accuracy.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data workflows.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and admin teams to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions.
• Implement security controls, permissions, logging, and audit functionality within internal apps.
• Troubleshoot application and data issues while improving existing systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications and internal business tools
• Build and support API integrations between payroll, financial, student information, and other enterprise systems
• Create automated data validation and synchronization processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
• Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data workflows
• Partner with HR, finance, and administrative teams to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions
• Implement security controls, permissions, logging, and audit functionality within internal applications
• Troubleshoot application and data issues while enhancing existing systems and processes

Required Experience

• 2+ years of application development experience in a business or enterprise environment
• Strong experience with C# and the .NET platform (.NET Core/.NET 8)
• Experience developing applications with ASP.NET Core, MVC, Razor Pages, or Web API
• Strong SQL Server experience, including T-SQL development and stored procedures
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end application development
• Understanding of data validation, data integrity, error handling, and secure application design
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with ADP, NetSuite, HRIS, payroll, ERP, or financial systems
• Background developing internal business applications, reporting tools, or workflow automation solutions
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in IIS and Windows Server environments
• Knowledge of Git source control and modern development practices
• Experience with Entity Framework Core or ADO.NET
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy .NET applications to ASP.NET Core
• Familiarity with authentication, role-based security, audit trails, and data privacy best practices
• Exposure to cloud platforms, scheduled jobs, background services, or data pipeline technologies
