Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking an Application SRE for a 6-month contract position in Plano, Texas.

The role supports and maintains business applications through Linux and Windows system troubleshooting, middleware and database management, log monitoring, and coordination of patches, certificates, and server builds. The position operates on a rotating schedule including weekends, 10AM–6PM EST, with shift changes and weekend requirements that are rare and rotating.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience as an Application SRE or similar role.
• Strong Linux command-line and OS troubleshooting experience.
• Windows OS and Windows Server administration experience.
• MongoDB administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Splunk Enterprise experience.
• Middleware knowledge: IIS, Apache, MSSQL.
• Experience with certificate management, password rotation, and patching.
• Experience coordinating server and software builds and supporting applications.
• Familiarity with JIRA and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Linux and Windows systems to support application stability and performance
• Manage and administer middleware platforms including IIS, Apache, and MSSQL
• Administer and troubleshoot MongoDB databases
• Monitor application logs and system events using Splunk Enterprise
• Coordinate and execute server and software builds
• Manage certificate lifecycle, including installation, renewal, and rotation
• Coordinate system patching and security updates across infrastructure
• Support cross-team coordination and communicate issues via JIRA
• Analyze how application components work together to diagnose and resolve system-level problems
