Job summary

Motion Recruitment in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Application Security Engineer to embed security best practices across the software development lifecycle. You will review design patterns, perform code reviews for vulnerabilities, and work with developers to implement secure coding and remediation.

You’ll manage SAST/DAST tools, define security requirements with product and engineering teams, and help automate secure deployment pipelines while delivering security training and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on code analysis (SAST/DAST) and vulnerability scanning experience.
• Secure coding practices across Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience automating CI/CD pipelines with security controls.
• Ability to triage, remediate, and document vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application code to detect security issues and fix vulnerabilities.
• Define and refine security policies, standards, and procedures for the development process.
• Implement and monitor automated security checks in CI/CD environments.
• Conduct hands-on penetration testing and red team exercises.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions for developers on best security practices.
• Maintain records of assessments, reporting, and remediation tracking.
