Job summary

Opal Security is looking for an Application Security Engineer to take charge of security across its product and platform. You will work closely with engineers to integrate security into the design and development process, ensuring that the systems are robust and secure.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in application security, comfortable writing production code, and familiar with AWS and security protocols. This is a unique opportunity to lead security initiatives at the heart of a security company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in application security or software security engineering.
• Experience in production code writing.
• Comfortable in AWS and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the secure SDLC: threat modeling, design and code reviews.
• Coordinate app pentests and drive findings to closure.
• Build and own SAST/DAST/SCA tooling integrated with CI/CD.
• Investigate security incidents and partner with Infra on cloud hardening.
