Job summary

Figure Lending in the United States is seeking an Application Security Engineer to secure our blockchain-enabled software from code to deployment. You will build and scale our vulnerability management program, embed secure coding practices into engineering workflows, and ensure security standards are met at every stage of the software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and IT to automate security within CI/CD pipelines and participate in incident response,

Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling security programs.
• Knowledge of secure coding and SDLC.
• Experience with incident response and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end security solutions including firewalls, IDS, encryption protocols, SIEM, and cloud controls.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct threat modeling and architecture reviews to identify risks and mitigations.
• Lead cross-team initiatives to improve security posture while balancing speed and innovation.
• Mentor engineers on security best practices and secure-by-design culture.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to improve defenses.
