Base Pay Range

$70.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Position is starting off as a yearlong contract with the potential of extension. Candidates must be local to interview onsite and work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities:

1. With your development background and security knowledge, provide security guidance to developers in the form of secure coding standards and guidelines.
2. Support security standards, create templates and patterns to increase the efficiency and adoption of the security program.
3. Work with our partners to implement, manage, and optimize security measures within our GitHub repositories to continuously improve code integrity and protect against vulnerabilities.

Required Skillset:

1. Must have: 5+ years software development experience using Python
2. Working with APIs, including but not limited to ReST
3. Unit testing frameworks
4. Multi-process and multi-thread architecture
5. Must have: 5+ years in Linux, strong bash scripting skills.
6. Good understanding of SQL to extract relevant information for reporting and analysis
7. Working knowledge of Windows environment, simple scripting dos-batch etc.
8. Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of work experience in the IT field
9. Ability to process large datasets for reporting and analysis.

Desired Skillset:

1. A self-starter, with a strong desire for learning new technologies and applying them to solve problems
2. Knowledge of SAST, OSS technologies
3. Ability to perform Python code reviews with minimal assistance
4. Expertise in monitoring, alerting, reporting, data analysis is desired.
5. Experience with application build environments like Jenkins, Teamcity etc.
6. DevOps container/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Puppet, etc) is a plus
7. Experience with evaluation, integration and onboard of security tools such as DAST, RASP, WAF, vulnerability scanner results, container analyzers, open source scanning etc is a plus
