Job summary

PrideGlobal is seeking a senior Python security engineer for a 12-month contract in Alpharetta, GA. You will build automated gatekeepers to scan applications for vulnerabilities before and after deployment, combining strong Python engineering with application security expertise.

You will collaborate with partners to implement and optimize security measures within GitHub repositories, protecting code integrity and reducing risk across our deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, unit testing, multiprocessing, and multithreading.
• 5+ years of Linux and Bash scripting experience.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Basic Windows/DOS batch scripting knowledge.
• Experience processing large datasets for reporting and analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Build automated security gatekeepers into the software development lifecycle to ensure applications are checked for vulnerabilities before and after deployment, combining strong Python engineering with application security expertise.
• Work with our partners to implement, manage, and optimize security measures within our GitHub repositories to continuously improve code integrity and protect against vulnerabilities.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, unit testing, multiprocessing, and multithreading.

• Knowledge of SAST, OSS/SCA, DAST, or vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience performing Python code reviews.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and reporting experience.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or similar build environments.
• Experience integrating security tools such as DAST, RASP, WAF, vulnerability scanners, and container security tools.
