Consumers Credit Union seeks an Application Security Analyst to safeguard our software from evolving threats. This role is ideal for an early-career cybersecurity professional, software developer, or IT specialist who wants to deepen expertise within an active Information Security team.

You will work with development, business systems, and technology teams to identify risks, support remediation, and embed security throughout the SDLC, with a hybrid Lake Forest, IL schedule and an on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, IT or related field.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity, software development, IT support or related tech field.
• Exposure to application security concepts or vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with application security testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Review findings with development teams to support remediation.
• Monitor and maintain Web Application Firewall protections.
• Participate in secure design discussions, code reviews, and security assessments.
• Support API security reviews and secure handling of data.
• Track vulnerability remediation activities across teams.
• Maintain documentation of security processes and tools.
• Research emerging threats and best practices (OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25).
• Promote secure coding practices throughout the SDLC.
