Job summary

Springs Window Fashions is offering an Application Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 to support the Commercial Team. The role provides hands-on project work, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities for professional development.

You will participate in energy-efficiency simulations, daylight optimization, and training of engineers in simulation techniques while gaining exposure to multiple functions within SWF.

Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in a relevant function preferred.
• Pursuing a 4-year degree with preferred Sophomore/Junior standing.
• Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related major preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Application Engineering Improvement Projects.
• Create simulations with shades including daylight optimization and energy modeling.
• Assist in training architectural engineers to create simulation optimizing and analyzing buildings.

Internship Overview

Springs Window Fashions is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Commercial Team! The Application Engineering Internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist the team with project support while providing valuable work experience related to your chosen field of study. Our paid internship program is known for having in-depth, challenging project work with cross-functional teams, as well as professional development, job shadowing and other growth opportunities.

Internship Projects andResponsibilities

• Application Engineering Improvement Projects
  • Utilize analysis software used by architects, engineers, and consultants to optimize buildings for energy efficiency, occumpant health, and sustainability
  • Create simulations with shades including:
    • Daylight optimization
    • Thermal & Energy Modeling
    • Occupant comfort
    • Site & Urban radiation
    • Green Certification compliance
    • Carbon Tracking
  • Assist in training architectural engineers to create simulation optimizing and analyzing buildings
