Job summary

Henkel in the United States is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join the North American team. You will support key accounts and target markets, driving expertise and innovative initiatives across product development, marketing, sales and engineering groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical).
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in Application Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Strong laboratory, problem solving, and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AI).
• Experience in facilitation, training, presentations and customer interactions.
• Clear written and verbal communication; collaborative teamwork.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, ambitious and entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities

• Become part of the North American Application Engineering team, supporting key accounts and driving expertise and innovation.
• Partner with Product Development, Innovation, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Channel, and Application Engineering teams on strategic initiatives.
• Lead Applications and Vertical programs, collaborate with sales support teams, build industry expertise, and roll out innovation launches.
• Support key customers and target markets by building subject matter expertise through lead users, universities and industry partners.
• Collaborate with regional customers to identify new opportunities and roadmap with them.
• Identify market trends and needs, including competitive threats, and ensure Henkel compliance.
• Champion, communicate and scale value proposition activities; validate market projects and programs via value analysis.
• Develop training materials to drive understanding and expertise of key applications to Application Engineering and Sales teams.
• Collaborate with Global Market Application Engineering to learn, identify and scale regional opportunities.
• Promote Henkel technical expertise externally through conferences, trade shows, white papers and direct customer engagement.

What you’ll do

• Become a part of our North American Application Engineering team, supporting key accounts and target markets, and driving expertise and innovation activities identified for our business unit.
• To carry out strategic initiatives by partnering closely with our Product Development, Innovation, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Channel, and Application Engineering Teams.
• Influence and drive scaling efforts by leading our Applications and Vertical programs, collaborating with sales support teams, building industry expertise and credibility, and rolling out innovation launches.
• Support key customers and target markets, by building expertise in the subject matter and target applications through lead users, universities, and industry partners.
• Collaborate and roadmap with regional customers to identify new opportunities.
• Identify market trends and needs, including competitive threats, and ensure Henkel compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), MBA Preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering & related fields
• Strong laboratory, problem solving, and computer skills such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Artificial Intelligence

This range represents the good‑faith minimumand maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at thetime of posting.In addition to base salary, this position may be eligiblefor incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. Actualcompensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills,experience, education, training, and work location.
