Job summary

A manufacturing solutions provider is seeking an Application Engineer located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This role involves demonstrating advanced machinery capabilities to potential customers, offering technical support, and ensuring successful customer interactions. Candidates should have at least a 2-year degree in engineering technology and up to two years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in an applications role, technical sales role, or as a Field Service Engineer.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and travel up to 25%.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Bystronic machines to prospective customers.
• Provide functional and technical support.
• Host customer visits and perform software demonstrations.
• Analyze customers’ machine and tooling requirements.
• Support the Sales Team with applications.

Skills

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of trigonometry and metallurgy

Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics

CNC programming

Knowledge of metal applications operations

Education

Two (2) year degree or higher in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
