Job summary

OmniSystems in Herndon, VA seeks an Application Engineer who collaborates with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to interpret requirements and develop applications using Micropact platforms to deliver high-quality results.

You will write technical documentation, maintain database knowledge, and support deployments to customer environments. Strong Java, JavaScript, SQL skills and J2EE deployment experience are essential; excellent communication is required.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of programming/software development experience.
• Experience programming in SQL, Java, JavaScript, Web Application and Relational Database (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Understanding of J2EE Architecture (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, etc.) and deployment procedures. Analytical Skills (ability to digest requirements and produce design).
• Ability for Testing/Quality Control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret business requirements and develop applications utilizing Micropact platforms and technologies.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and/or Business Analyst to interpret requirements and deliver high quality results.
• Write technical documentation as directed by OmniSystems standards and methodology.
• Communicate technical information clearly to customers and provide efficient technical solutions.
