AGI in Naperville, IL is seeking an Application Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience on real customer projects while developing CAD and engineering skills.

You’ll create approval and manufacturing drawings, build 3D models in Inventor or SolidWorks, review specs, and collaborate with engineers and sales teams.

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Agricultural Engineering; strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Create approval and manufacturing drawings for equipment — and work directly with project coordinators, customers, and sales teams to finalize them.
• Build 3D CAD models using software like Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Review customer specs to make sure what we design meets expectations and matches what was quoted.
• Flag potential problems or technical issues before the design goes into production.
• Collaborate with Application Engineers to review your drawings and strengthen your technical approach.
• Jump in on additional engineering tasks as needed to support the team.

• You’re pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Structural, or Agricultural Engineering.
• You have experience with 3D CAD modeling (Inventor or SolidWorks preferred).
