Job description

• Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. (Columbia, MD) is seeking an Application Engineer: Perform as the subject-matter expert and leading technical consultant for wireless protocol testing supporting customer R&D labs. The position requires the minimum of 7 years’ experience in the job offered or any related occupation, to include 7 years’ experience in python, and object-oriented programming; 7 years’ experience working with mobile communications protocols, including 5G NR, LTE – Physical Layer, Layer 2, RRC, NAS; 7 years’ experience utilizing data centric protocols, including TCP/IP, SIP/SDP, RTP, RTCP; and 7 years’ experience working with test equipment including radio communications testers, spectrum analyzers and signal generators. Remote work permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Incumbent will be required to travel 15% of the time on domestic and international trips lasting 1-2 weeks in duration.
