The Opportunity

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide technical and applications support for NOCO customers. As part of a small collaborative team, you’ll work in our state-of-the-art R&D facility in Peoria, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in the new product design process from initial concept to final production and sustaining.
• Work with NOCO engineering to become an applications expert on NOCO products.
• Diagnose and resolve customer application and system-level issues escalated from technical support.
• Provide applications engineering support for key NOCO customers.
• Work with NOCO sales to evaluate and test applications for potential customers.
• Participate in field testing and product installations for NOCO products.
• Represent NOCO in insurance investigations related to NOCO products.
• This is a customer-facing role requiring direct interaction with NOCO customers.
• 25% Travel is required to visit customers.
• Highly organized.
• Self-direction and motivation.
• Hands-on engineer capable of supporting customers through lab investigation and on-site field work when required.
• Good communicator, verbal and written.
• Able to present professionally in front of customers.

Essential knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics.
• Familiarity with typical lab test and measurement equipment.
• Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desirable knowledge and Experience

• Prior experience in Technical Support, Applications Engineering, Field Service, or closely related position.
• Experience or knowledge with some of the following: Battery Chargers, Batteries, Jump Starters, Tire Inflators, or similar technology.
