Role Description

The Application Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Overland Park, KS. This position focuses on supporting the application of catalyst products in customer systems, including utility and industrial installations. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support to customers, analyzing application requirements, and assisting in product selection and system design. The role involves collaborating with engineering and sales teams, preparing technical documentation, and participating in testing and validation of solutions. The Application Engineer also assists in troubleshooting field issues, coordinating with manufacturing and R&D, and contributing to continuous improvement of application guidelines and standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Support skills, including customer-facing problem solving and application guidance.
  • Experience or familiarity with emission control systems for power and industrial applications.
  • Foundational knowledge in fluid flow, thermal processes, and equipment integration.
  • Competence in Testing, validation, and performance evaluation of industrial or environmental technology systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards; proficiency with common engineering tools and office software.
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and customers; strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Experience with industrial, utility, emissions control, or energy efficiency applications is highly beneficial.
  • Capacity to work on-site, travel occasionally to customer locations, and manage multiple projects and priorities safely and responsibly.
