Job summary

Exponential Power is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in DC power systems to design and integrate DC chargers, UPS systems, and deep-cycle batteries into commercial and industrial setups.

The candidate will lead project activities across engineering, product development, implementation, and testing, working with clients and vendors to deliver accurate design and procurement specifications.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university or equivalent work experience >4 years.
  • AutoCAD or similar platform experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Read customer specifications or schematics to determine the necessary DC components of electrical systems including sizing and specifying emergency and standby DC systems.
  • Complete procurement specifications for all materials such as wiring, conduit, electrical equipment and components.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors to manage the overall project.
  • Review each assigned project with the Applications Engineering Manager and provide input and support to the engineering and sales teams throughout the duration of the project.
  • Deliver accurate information in design and specification of Exponential products in a professional format.

We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer who exhibits a can‑do attitude, approaches his or her work with determined initiative, and possesses a solid understanding of DC power systems (DC chargers, UPS systems, deep‑cycle batteries) and their integration into commercial and industrial systems. The ideal candidate can be described as a self‑starter with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, become knowledgeable in our product offerings, and have the social and interpersonal skills to present that knowledge to internal or external clients in the form of proposals. This candidate will manage projects that are relatively short in duration by working across a variety of groups that are directly involved in site walk estimates, engineering, product development, implementation, and testing.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to communicate and work cross‑functionally, and strong attention to detail
