Job summary

Yinlun TDI LLC is seeking an Application Engineer based in Morton, Illinois to support customer applications in thermal management, cooling, and aftertreatment systems. This role serves as a key technical liaison between customers, the U.S. engineering team, and our global HQ in China.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background in thermal management or related systems, experience in automotive or off-highway markets, and proficiency with CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in application engineering, thermal management, cooling systems, or aftertreatment systems preferred.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, or off-highway equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical interface for customer engineering programs.
• Analyze customer RFQs and develop thermal management, cooling, and aftertreatment system solutions.
• Collaborate with U.S. engineering teams and global HQ engineering in China on product design, validation, and development.
• Support the design, development, and optimization of cooling and aftertreatment systems for commercial vehicle and off-highway applications.
• Participate in product testing, validation (DVP&R), and performance evaluation.
• Support project execution to meet timeline, quality, and cost targets.
• Attend customer meetings and provide technical presentations and engineering support.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support customer applications and engineering projects involving thermal management, cooling, and aftertreatment systems.

This position is based in Morton, Illinois, and will serve as a key technical liaison between customers, the U.S. engineering team, and our global headquarters engineering team in China.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with knowledge of thermal management, cooling, or aftertreatment systems, preferably within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or off-highway industries.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in application engineering, thermal management, cooling systems, aftertreatment systems, or related product engineering roles preferred.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, or off-highway equipment preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of heat exchangers, thermal management principles, cooling systems, or aftertreatment systems.
• Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, and DVP&R.
• Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar software.
