Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer to support CNC programming for Swiss-type CNC lathes, install machines, and help customers optimize processes through training and technical support on-site on Long Island.

You will program, setup, and run CNC machines, perform prove-outs, time studies, and provide responsive technical assistance via phone, email, and visits, collaborating with sales and dealer networks.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining, CNC programming, or applications engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and manufacturing documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
• Knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, and shop mathematics
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed

Applications Engineer - CNC Programming & Customer Support

Location: Long Island, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Travel: Required up to 70%

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience

Position Overview

A leading CNC machine tool company is seeking an Applications Engineer to support customer applications, machine installations, and CNC programming for Swiss-type CNC lathes. This role works closely with customers to optimize machining processes through training, testing, troubleshooting, and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, and operate CNC machines
