Job summary

LHH is seeking an Applications Engineer on Long Island, NY, to support customer applications, machine installations, and CNC programming for Swiss-type CNC lathes. You will work closely with customers to optimize machining processes through training, testing, troubleshooting, and technical support.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, on-site visits, and collaboration with sales/dealer networks to review applications and improve productivity. Travel up to 70% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining, CNC programming, or applications engineering.
• Ability to read blueprints, part drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, and shop mathematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Position Overview:
