Role Description

The Applications Engineer is a full-time, on-site or hybrid role based in Byron Center, MI. You'll support the sales process for engineered warehouse and factory solutions — from material handling systems to custom metal assemblies — by translating customer needs into technical concepts.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with sales and engineering to translate customer requirements into application concepts and layouts
• Interact directly with customers, developing concepts and providing technical guidance throughout the sales process
• Prepare technical documentation, cost estimates, and proposals

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering
• Experience with material handling systems and/or automation
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred)
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Sharp problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to automation, controls, or integrated systems
