Applications Development Technology Senior Lead Analyst
Applications Development Technology Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities
- This is a Senior Technology position role in Futures Brokerage space in New Jersey, USA.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications.
- Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects.
- Collaborate with BA/PMs, operations and product managers within Futures Brokerage space.
- Work closely with business & operations to create product rollout plans, gather business & functional requirements.
- Get knowledge of end to end flows of Future Clearing and Brokerage space and identify the best approach to migrate clients/flows, develop iterative rollout approach, validate use cases, work with vendor and chair weekly project team meetings with stakeholders.
- Build relationships with Production Development group in London and New Jersey and work with Development leads in Pune to deliver project milestones.
- Lead integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processes.
- Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problems.
- Provide expertise in application programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross‑functional projects, or multiple projects.
- Develop application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goals.
- Consult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system design.
- Allocate work and act as an advisor/coach to developers, analysts, and new team members.
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of application development and leadership experience in the financial services domain with hands on experience in Full Stack Java & Oracle.
- Experience solving performance issues of the flow (including DB ingestion, exposure).
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes, Scrum and JIRA.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) clearing workflows, including trade lifecycle management, brokerage, cash, and collateral workflows.
- Proven experience integrating clearing systems with books and records platforms to ensure seamless data flow and reconciliation.
- Expertise in cloud‑native development principles and practices, designing and building highly resilient, scalable, and observable services/systems in a cloud environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to interact with internal technology teams, external vendors, and clearinghouse representatives.
- Extensive experience with post‑trade processing systems and technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of client core business functions.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and development skills.
- Relationship and consensus building skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools and use of AI tools for day‑to‑day tasks to ensure performant and faster development.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.

- Work with operations in EMEA, APC and NAM.
- Own the migration project plans and current status.
- Conduct release retrospect meetings to continuously improve the process.
- Bridge the gap between development and business leads.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance Testers to ensure functionality meets expectations.
- Contribute ideas on technology and process to ensure the team is productive and successful.
- Own the documentation Wiki page for the project.
- Work with Global team (NY, London, Singapore) and open to attend evening calls as needed.

Salary and Benefits
Full‑time salary range: $176,720.00 - $265,080.00.
