Job Description

Position Summary

• The Application Development Associate is responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting both new and existing software applications including Mobile app for child support.
• This role plays a key part in developing program modules and providing reliable production support for designated applications or systems.
• The associate collaborates closely with Application Architects, Business Analysts, and other team members to ensure technical solutions align with business goals and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test application programs, including new development and enhancements to existing modules.
• Provide production support, including issue analysis, bug fixes, testing, and deployment to production environments.
• Collaborate with Application Architects and Business Analysts to confirm and validate both functional and technical designs.
• Develop and maintain necessary technical documentation and participate in design reviews as scheduled.
• Analyze requirements, code, and test simple to moderately complex program modules, ensuring quality and compliance with design specifications.
• Apply sound technical, industry, and domain knowledge to all tasks and project work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in coding practices, system performance, and team processes.

Required Skills & Technologies

• 5+ years of Java Strong object-oriented programming skills and familiarity with Java-based enterprise application development.
• 5+ Years of Spring Boot Experience with creating RESTful APIs and using Spring Boot for building scalable and maintainable applications.
• 5+ Years of Angular Proficient in developing responsive, single-page web applications using Angular.
• 5+ Years of SQL Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting; experience with relational database systems.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance tuning.
• Experience supporting Child Support applications, programs, or initiatives
