Responsibilities

• Act as the Technical SME for High Performance Storage Systems (HPSS) and lead system‑level test automation, build processes, and CI pipelines.
• Own end‑to‑end build and test lifecycle for HPSS applications across development, test, and release environments.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for functionality, integration, performance, and reliability.
• Lead CI/CD pipeline development, integrating automated testing for continuous validation.
• Develop and maintain an automated system‑level build/test process validating the full HPSS architecture.
• Ensure high automated test coverage across HPSS applications and reduce manual testing.
• Contribute to test planning, release readiness, execution support, and test strategy.
• Provide mentoring on automation, version control, and pipeline management.
• Troubleshoot build, pipeline, and test failures with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Establish standards and documentation for automation and system validation procedures.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Application Developer/Tester, IBM Corporation, Houston, TX (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted):

• Act as the Technical SME for High Performance Storage Systems (HPSS), providing leadership for system-level test automation, build processes, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Own and manage the end-to-end build and test lifecycle for HPSS applications, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and automated processes across development, test, and release environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate functionality, integration, performance, and reliability of High-Performance Storage System components.
• Lead the development and enhancement of CI/CD build pipelines, integrating automated testing to support continuous validation and early defect detection.
• Develop and maintain an automated system-level build and test process capable of validating the full HPSS architecture, including storage workflows and system interactions.
• Ensure high levels of automated test coverage across HPSS applications, reducing reliance on manual testing.
• Contribute significantly to HPSS test team planning, release-readiness efforts, execution support, and test strategy.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior and midlevel test engineers on best practices in automation, version control, and pipeline management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex build, pipeline, and test failures, including root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain standards and documentation for building automation, testing frameworks, and system validation procedures.
