Starbucks is hiring an Application Developer to deliver and support technology solutions that enable business capabilities. You will partner with IT and business teams to analyze requirements, design and build software, automate testing, and deploy reliable solutions that perform well in production.

You will build and deliver software using established patterns, contribute across the delivery lifecycle in Agile or waterfall environments, and support production stability through on‑call duties

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of professional industry experience with software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency with relevant development languages, tools, frameworks, and dependencies, and strong fundamentals in data structures/algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or integrating with established APIs, including common system integration patterns
• Strong engineering habits: writing reusable, maintainable code, automated tests, and clear technical documentation
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
