Job summary

Esri’s Geo Experience Center is seeking an Application Developer to help build prototype applications that explore digital cartography, advanced map visualizations, and web-based GIS experiences.

You will design UX for web applications, work with React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte to create targeted, stand-alone apps and reusable components, and collaborate with SDK teams during release cycles to provide feedback and improve developer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field.
• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field.
• Experience with modern web app frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25–50%.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not offered).

We are seeking an Application Developer to join Esri’s Geo Experience Center team, where you will contribute to building prototype applications that explore digital cartography, advanced map visualizations, and web-based GIS experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of user experiences for web applications, digital cartographic visualizations, and interactive map-based workflows
• Work with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Svelte, or Vue to build targeted, stand-alone web applications and reusable UI components
• Collaborate with core development and SDK teams during release development sprints, providing feedback on APIs, beta capabilities, tools, workflows, documentation, and developer experience

Requirements

• Experience with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies
• Experience with code management systems and CI/CD
• Foundational understanding of digital cartography, data visualization, or geospatial application development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25–50%
