Job summary

Epicured is hiring an Application Developer to own and extend Epicore, our internal platform for order management, automation, and reporting. Epicore serves as the system of record for fulfillment across multiple business lines and is central to future automation efforts.

This role is responsible for turning operational workflows into reliable software and ensuring Epicore scales with the business.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production web app experience.
• Strong experience with C# / .NET and SQL Server.
• MVC experience.
• Knowledge of React/Vue/Angular.
• Experience designing APIs and internal systems.
• Comfortable in an evolving, operationally-driven environment.
• Willingness to be partially onsite in Glen Cove, NY.
• Experience integrating third‑party platforms (Shopify, ERP, shipping systems).

Responsibilities

• Own development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Epicore platform.
• Build order management and automation workflows.
• Integrate Epicore with Shopify, Galley, ShipStation, and other internal systems.
• Support new business lines through system extensions.
• Improve operational tooling for customer service and fulfillment.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with operations, data, and front-end teams.
• Lead the initial migration to ASP.NET MVC / Razor-based boilerplate with Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
• Own technical decision-making within Epicore’s scope.
• Provide regular status updates to CTO and SVP of Software Engineering.
• Identify and prioritize technical debt remediation.
• Balance stabilization, modernization, and feature delivery.

About the role

Epicured is hiring an Application Developer to own and extend Epicore, our internal platform for order management, automation, and reporting. Epicore serves as the system of record for fulfillment across multiple business lines and is central to future automation efforts.

This role is responsible for turning operational workflows into reliable software and ensuring Epicore scales with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Epicore platform
• Build order management and cook order automation workflows
• Integrate Epicore with Shopify, Galley, ShipStation, and other internal systems
• Support new business lines (Fallon, B2B, acquisitions) through system extensions
• Improve operational tooling for customer service and fulfillment teams
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with operations, data, and front-end teams
• Lead the initial migration of the existing Epicore ASP.NET Web Forms / SQL Server application to a standardized ASP.NET MVC / Razor-based boilerplate with Microsoft Entra ID authentication, establishing a modern, maintainable foundation before major feature expansion
• Own technical decision‑making within Epicore’s scope and execute work with a high degree of autonomy
• Provide regular, proactive status updates to the CTO and SVP of Software Engineering, including progress, risks, and tradeoffs
• Identify and prioritize technical debt remediation as part of ongoing Epicore development
• Balance stabilization, modernization, and feature delivery to support operational growth

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience building production web applications
• Strong experience with C# / .NET and SQL Server
• MVC
• Knowledge of js framework like react/vue/alpine/angular
• Experience designing APIs and internal systems
• Comfortable working in an evolving, operationally-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
• Experience integrating third‑party platforms (Shopify, ERP, shipping systems)
• Willingness to be partially onsite in Glen Cove, NY

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with order management, fulfillment, or logistics systems
• Familiarity with healthcare‑adjacent compliance considerations

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
