Job summary

Betis Group, Inc. in New York, NY seeks an Applications Developer for a contract-based role. The candidate will design and implement web services/API-driven applications, with emphasis on front- and back-end processing and cross-team collaboration.

A minimum of four years’ experience and exposure to varied environments is required. Starting compensation is commensurate with education and experience, with the team offering a path to ongoing future opportunities in NYC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience designing web services and API-based apps.
• Experience with MVC, HTML5, jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Strong data structures, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation.
• Ability to produce technical and user documentation.
• Exposure to mainframe, mid-range and PC environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead in designing program specifications and implementing software solutions.
• Handle front- and backend processing of web applications.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated API-based systems.

Qualifications/Skills

• Designing web services/WCF/API based applications
• MVC, HTML 5.0, jQuery and Bootstrap
• Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation
• Technical and user documentation, software conversions
• Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptops
• Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
• both the Front and Backend processing of Web Applications
• Oracle and SQL Server database usage
