Job summary

Akina, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer and CNO Reverse Engineer at Fort Meade, MD to design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate mission-centric software solutions. You will collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists and other engineers to support tactical missions.

You will augment toolsets, derive requirements, and build end-to-end systems while participating in peer reviews to reduce defects and demonstrate progress with prototypes aligned to mission needs.

Qualifications

Description

You will act as a general-purpose Software Engineer and CNO Reverse Engineer for up-and-coming projects where you will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions to provide mission-centric results. You will work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists and other software engineers to provide mission tactical support.

• Augment existing toolsets.
• Derive, document, and analyze requirements.
• Produce end-to-end toolsets that can operate within mission constraints.
• Take part in peer code reviews to reduce defects.
• Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission requirements.

Position Required Skills

• Produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python/Assembly.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and analysis of network traffic (e.g., Wireshark).
• Provide support for fielded software systems.
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion.
• Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).

Nice to Haves

• Experience with reverse engineering windows or embedded platforms (RTOS).
• Experience with developing CNO specific software in Windows/Linux/Embedded applications.
• Experience with Vulnerability Research and Exploit development.
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.

AD3 Qualifications

YOE Requirement: 12 yrs., B.S. or 10 yrs. w/ M.S., 4 yrs. of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Salary Range: $234k-$287k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
