Position Summary
Application Developer 2 is responsible for building and enhancing internal and external banking applications using a modern technology stack–primarily C# on the back end and Angular on the front end. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, contributing to impactful projects that serve thousands of users. Hybrid work: two days in the office and three days work‑from‑home per week after completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions
- Develop and enhance applications by writing high‑quality, maintainable code and extending custom frameworks and services to meet evolving business needs.
- Full‑stack development: design, develop, and maintain applications across the entire stack, implement RESTful APIs, integrate third‑party services, and ensure seamless client‑server communication.
- Full SDLC involvement: take ownership of projects through analysis, planning, design, coding, testing, and documentation. Produce technical documentation and user guides for new systems or enhancements.
- Unit testing and code quality: write and maintain unit tests, participate in code reviews, and follow coding standards and secure‑coding best practices to maintain reliability and high code quality.
- Collaborate and support: work with support teams and end‑users to troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, update system documentation, and consult with external vendors when evaluating third‑party solutions.
- Continuous improvement: participate in refining development processes, daily stand‑ups, Scrum ceremonies, and suggest enhancements. Research new technologies and propose innovative solutions.
- Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to the role, complete compliance training, and implement secure coding techniques in line with technical reference architecture.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with bank policies.

Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience, delivering applications or significant features from conception to production.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with the core tech stack and tools, including:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET, building robust back‑end services and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks, ideally Angular, with comfortable basic HTML/CSS.
- Solid experience with SQL databases – writing queries, designing schemas, optimizing performance, and familiar with stored procedures, indexing, and relational data modeling.
- Minimum 4 years experience applying Object‑Oriented Design principles and design patterns in real‑world projects, designing modular, reusable code.
- Experience identifying and implementing software development best practices.
- Proficient with Git or similar version control systems in a team environment.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities across the full stack; basic network configuration knowledge.
- Comfortable collaborating in cross‑functional groups to achieve business goals and provide clear status updates.
- Valid Nebraska Driver's License.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with Angular, responsive design, and UI libraries such as Bootstrap or Kendo UI.
- Ability to create clean, consistent interfaces using style guides; proficiency in CSS methodologies and preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OpenID Connect for secure authentication, and experience integrating third‑party APIs.
- Understanding of event‑driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Event Grid).
- Experience with background processing tools such as Hangfire or Azure Functions.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Boomi) for system integration and data consistency.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB) and appropriate use cases.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (especially Azure DevOps), infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform), and monitoring/logging tools.
- Working knowledge of core Azure services (App Services, Storage, Key Vault, etc.) and experience deploying cloud‑based applications.
- Understanding of Git workflows such as trunk‑based development and GitFlow.
- Experience writing unit tests for front‑end and back‑end code using frameworks like XUnit, NUnit, Jasmine, or Karma; TDD is a plus.
- Ability to build reusable, well‑documented libraries or SDKs for cross‑team use.
