Job summary

Who you are:

This position involves building and maintaining batch applications using Java, with a focus on data migration to and from various PostgreSQL databases. The role requires proficiency in Java 8, with a bonus for Java 21 familiarity. You will work on‑site 20% of the time and must be a self‑starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


What you’ll do:


  • Build and maintain batch applications using Java

  • Perform data migration to and from different PostgreSQL databases

  • Upgrade Java and related software as needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data migration processes

  • Adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies in a dynamic setting


What you need:


  • Proficiency in Java, particularly Java 8

  • Experience with batch applications, such as Spring Batch

  • Understanding of data migration to/from Greenplum and Amazon Redshift (advantageous)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Self-starter attitude with a drive to learn and adapt

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team

  • Availability to work on‑site 20% of the time (1 day a week)


As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits. You can find more information on benefits here. We accept applications on an ongoing basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.


The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:


$64,000—$124,200 USD
