We are seeking a talented Application Developer and Reverse Engineer to join our team as a general-purpose Software Engineer supporting emerging projects. In this role, you will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions that deliver mission-centric results for our national security customers. You will work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow software engineers to provide direct tactical support to our intelligence community clients. Your work will involve augmenting existing toolsets to enhance mission capabilities, deriving and analyzing requirements from stakeholders, and producing end-to-end solutions that operate within mission constraints. You will also participate in peer code reviews, build prototypes to validate your understanding of requirements, and demonstrate feasibility of new ideas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that directly support national security objectives.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess at least 12 years of software engineering experience, or 10 years with a Master's degree, or 4 additional years of professional experience in lieu of a degree. Proficiency in developing and modifying software systems using C/C++, Python, and Assembly is essential. In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and hands-on experience analyzing network traffic with tools like Wireshark are required. The ideal candidate should have the ability to support fielded software systems in production environments and be familiar with version control systems like Git and Subversion. Practical experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence is also preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, or equivalent professional experience as outlined above. Additional experience in reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms, vulnerability research, exploit development, and SIGINT collection systems is highly desirable.
The primary responsibilities of this role include augmenting existing toolsets to improve mission capabilities, deriving and analyzing requirements from stakeholders and operators, and developing comprehensive end-to-end tools that operate within mission constraints. You will produce solutions that have real-world impact and support operational needs. Participating in peer code reviews to identify and reduce defects before deployment is essential to maintain high-quality standards. Building prototypes to validate understanding of mission requirements and demonstrate technical feasibility will be a key part of your work. Additionally, you will support and troubleshoot fielded software systems in production environments, ensuring their reliability and performance. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams such as analysts, data scientists, and operators will be vital to delivering effective solutions that meet mission objectives.
