Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) seeks an Application Developer to advance backend systems, web apps, and integration layers. You will work with MuleSoft, Boomi, and Azure Functions to deliver scalable, secure solutions that empower field teams and communities served. Hybrid work in Tampa, with minimal travel.

The role emphasizes API design, data modeling, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, while maintaining strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Front-end experience with React.js, Next.js or similar modern UI frameworks.
• Back-end experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs design and implementation.
• PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and query optimization; SQL Server familiarity is a plus.
• Azure App Service/Web App deployment and scaling strategies; Azure Functions for events.
• Azure Event Hub for data ingestion and streaming architecture.
• Designing and implementing integration solutions across systems; CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and web applications.
• Develop integrations between systems using MuleSoft and Boomi.
• Build serverless solutions with Azure Functions.
• Create automation scripts in Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.

Your daily impact:

The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals. However, as business needs evolve, these responsibilities may shift over time to reflect new priorities, processes, or technologies:

• Backend & Web Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and web applications to meet business and user requirements.
• Integration Development: Design and develop integrations between diverse systems using platforms such as MuleSoft and Boomi.
• Serverless Computing: Build, deploy, and maintain Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
• API & Security: Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and modern authentication protocols such as OAuth and JWT.
• Data Modeling: Design Snowflake schema models to support data warehousing needs.
• Database Management: Manage and optimize databases including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Support DevOps initiatives, including development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.

Minimum Job Requirements

Minimum job qualifications define the essential skills, experience, and abilities needed to succeed in the role. They set the baseline for hiring but may evolve as the job and business requirements change:

• Front-End Development: Experience building scalable React.js, Next.js, or other modern UI framework applications.
• Back-End Development: Hands-on experience with Node.js and designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Database Design & Optimization: Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, query optimization, and database administration; familiarity with SQL Server is a plus.
• Cloud & Deployment: Knowledge of Azure App Service, Web App deployment, configuration, scaling strategies, and Azure Functions for event-driven compute.
• Event & Data Streaming: Experience with Azure Event Hub for data ingestion and event streaming architectures.
• Integration & Middleware: Designing and implementing integration solutions across multiple systems, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
