Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking an Applications Coordinator I at our corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ. You will guide prospective residents through the rental application process and coordinate with onsite teams to ensure timely reviews and accurate leases.

The role requires 1+ year experience in leasing or customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage documentation efficiently. Join a team focused on people, excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as Leasing Consultant or in customer service, sales, or contact center environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage documentation and application information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with prospective residents.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Familiarity with multifamily housing applications and leasing processes preferred; ResMan experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide prospective residents through the application process, providing clear information regarding requirements, fees, and timelines.
• Respond to applicant questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
• Process incoming rental applications and ensure all required documentation is received and complete.
• Verify applicant information, including income, employment, and rental history, using established checklists.
• Respond to inquiries regarding application requirements, status, and anticipated timelines.
• Partner with onsite community teams to facilitate the timely review and approval of applications.
• Prepare and send leases accurately and efficiently to prospective residents.
• Ensure applications are processed in accordance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and established procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive applicant information.
• Follow standard operating procedures to support consistency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the application process.
• Participate in ongoing training and development through Mark-Taylor programs and San Casa virtual learning to remain current on policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience as a Leasing Consultant or in a customer service, sales, or contact center environment.

• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
• Familiarity with multifamily housing applications and leasing processes is preferred.
• Experience with ResMan or other property management software is preferred.
